Housing Officers must be aware of the enforcement options available to them when dealing with landlords who do not comply with their statutory requirements. Officers must be able to gather evidence correctly and to the standards required and also have the knowledge and confidence to apply Civil Penalties, Banning Orders or Rent Repayment Orders
