Criminal Procedures and Investigations Act

 
The Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act (CPIA) 1996, has had a significant impact on the way in which information and evidence is recorded, retained and where appropriate disclosed prior to a trial.  This is a vital part of the criminal justice process and it is important that the procedures are adhered to.
