Procedural Legislation for Managers

 Anyone who has responsibility for managing staff undertaking enforcement work or those authorising cases for prosecution, will need an understanding of the relevant procedural legislation.  They will need to ensure all cases are investigated in a professional manner, that their staff fully understand their role and responsibilities under that legislation and that they are acting with integrity at all times.

  • Evidential requirements
  • Special considerations for vulnerable groups
  • Involvement of third parties at interviews e.g. Appropriate Adults, Friends, interpreters etc
  • Disclosure of evidence to recognised legal representatives
  • PACE procedures when conducting a PACE Interviews
